Visiting wedding fairs as a supplier is a nice experience if it's a good fair full of quality suppliers for some networking chin wags. Exhibiting at wedding fairs with the aforementioned qualities is also a great experience as you get to meet your potential customers face to face, talk about their dream weddings while they are on a generally excited 'getting-married' high. But visiting aforementioned wedding fair as part of my best friend's bridal party is an AWESOME day out, especially if it's the very carefully curated brainchild of the same clever people behind London Fashion Week, SME, in partnership with bridal bible editors, Brides Magazine, resulting in the most aspirational wedding-wonderland of all - Brides the Show!

We started off our leisurely Sunday with brunch at Colbert's on Sloane Square and then boarded the pink coach to Battersea Park. Can you imagine my already pretty excitable state when we walk in and see THIS?

A big BLOWN UP image of our beautiful silver leaf macaroons as featured in the last issue of brides magazine!
Brides the Show is the completely re-vamped and re-booted avatar of the Designer Wedding Show (read about our stand at the former last year here). The main differences I could tell between the two shows were the energy, the buzz, the FLOWERS and all the interactive elements that created such a positively infectious happy vibe (the Laurent Perrier champagne bar may have had something to do with it as well). My favourite picks were the dreamy wisteria and cherry blossom catwalk, Lila Accessories, Eagle Eyed Bride, Paula Rooney Weddings, the Iconic Wedding Dress expo and the hilarious Photo Emporium photobooth!

Dreamy catwalk featuring this elegant beauty from Miss Bush Bridal.

I'm loving me some floral headpieces at the moment. These beauties are all hand-crafted in clay by Lila Accessories (they're also on the front cover of Brides Magazine this month!). Rock out with floral crowns in this super cool photobooth frame by Eagle Eyed Bride (which I did do at the B.Loved #b_party which I've dished about here!).

Brides the Show was literally blooming all over with amazing floral displays. I liked Paula Rooney's in particular for that colourful orchid-laden table runner and opulent styling details.
We easily whiled away a good chunk of the day in there and BFF came away with a lot of inspiration and contacts of fabulous suppliers she may not have found otherwise.

Horsing around as front cover stars in the fab Photo Emporium photobooth.
The next show is scheduled for March 2014, so if you missed the one in October dear sassy-bride-to-be-reader, mark it in your diaries now! Next time we will be showcasing our wedding cakes made in London!
Muah-muah, Reshmi xoxo
