A croquembouche, or croque-en-bouche, originates from the early 1800s being the wedding cake of choice for Parisian royals and high society and literally means "crunch in the mouth". They were originally created with glazed profiteroles and piled high in a conical structure.
Our croquembouches are much more than a crunch in the mouth - they're made of glazed filled choux buns and eclairs, baked buttermilk doughnuts, macarons, candied popcorn, ice-cream cones, Ferrero Rochers, piped buttercream flowers, and real sponge cake layers, frosted with Swiss meringue buttercream and glazed in Belgian chocolate. They're literally all the main dessert food groups assembled into one joyous feast for the eyes AND mouths.
They are a unique choice for a wedding cake where one need not have to choose between having a macaron tower, dessert table or cake as our glorious croquembouche is comprised of all. It makes a dramatic statement on its own or take pride of place amongst a stylish desert buffet.
Each croquembouche is handmade from scratch, where no two croquembouches will ever be the same, and can be personalised with a chocolate message plaque up to 20 characters too. As you can imagine, there's a LOT of work involved to create each of these masterpieces so we do require longer notice for them. If you have a wedding or major milestone celebration and event coming up, get in touch as soon as possible!
