A photo cake should still look like a proper cake.
A photograph can be wonderfully personal. It should not be an excuse to stop designing the cake.
We have seen enough badly printed pictures dropped onto anonymous rectangles of icing. Our approach is to make the image part of a freshly baked buttercream cake, so the finished piece still feels considered, celebratory and unmistakably ours.

Can you put a photo on a birthday cake?
Yes. A supplied photograph can be used as an edible image, or you can choose a custom illustrated caricature created from reference photos. For a more theatrical version, a burn-away cake hides an edible image beneath the top layer.
How do I send you the photo for my cake?
Follow the instructions on the cake page. Where images are submitted by email, order first and reply promptly to your confirmation with a clear JPG or PNG. Caricatures may need several reference photographs.
Is the picture on a photo cake edible?
Edible photo prints and the image layers used on our burn-away cakes are designed to be eaten with the cake. Illustrated caricatures are also reproduced as part of the finished cake design.
What kind of photograph works best?
Choose a sharp, bright, high-resolution photograph with the main subject clearly visible and some room around important details. Avoid heavily compressed screenshots where possible.
What is the difference between a photo cake and a caricature cake?
A supplied photo print reproduces the picture you send us and is personalisation. A caricature is custom: an illustrator creates new artwork from your reference photographs before it is applied to the cake.
Can I order a photo cake online?
Yes. Choose the most suitable cake format online, then follow the product instructions for sending your image or reference photographs.
Do you deliver photo cakes across London and Surrey?
Yes. We deliver across London & Surrey using our own drivers. We do not use parcel couriers for our celebration cakes.
How much notice does a photo cake need?
