Whoa, so some folks, and by some I mean A LOT, liked our Matcha Latte cake and it has become our quickest selling newly launched cake to date! With that in mind, I thought we HAVE to create a sea-salted caramel version because while folks may be pided over their love of Matcha I think I can safely say that we're all united in our love for sea-salted caramel, judging by the reaction to it on our Instagram alone:
I would literally love to start my day with salted caramel on toast, end my day with it on dessert, and be hooked on the smooth sea-salted caramel drip throughout the day. Hence, quite clearly, this cake is the answer to my everything - Sea-Salted Caramel drip cake!
We've also got our triple decker layers of chocolate brownie, banana and vanilla sponges underneath all that delightfully smooth chocolate and sea-salted caramel Swiss meringue buttercream, glazed with sea-salted caramel and Belgian chocolate ganache drips.
But really...it's the cute chocolate-latte cups that make my heart skip - chocolate cups filled to the brim with sea-salted caramel ganache and finished with proper fancy latte art (those Kensington coffee shop years did me some latte-art good ;)).
