What is a burn-away cake?
It is a cake with a specially prepared top image layer that is gently ignited to reveal a hidden edible image, message or announcement beneath. The effect turns the cake itself into the reveal moment.
Can I choose the hidden photo or message?
Yes. Personalisation depends on the design: our photo, anniversary and break-up cakes use your image or message, while the gender reveal cake can also be ordered with custom burn-away artwork.
How much does a burn-away cake cost?
The collection starts at £100. Larger sizes and additional personalisation cost more, and the exact current price is shown on each product page.
How far ahead do I need to order?
Please order at least one week before delivery. The current burn-away range is not available with shorter notice because the reveal layer has to be prepared specifically for your cake.
Do you deliver burn-away cakes across London and Surrey?
Yes. We make the cakes to order and deliver them across London and Surrey using our own delivery team.
How do I light a burn-away cake?
Follow the safety instructions supplied with your cake. The reveal should be handled by an adult on a stable, heat-resistant surface, away from children and anything flammable.
