Doughnut Cookie Monster Cake

The original Anges de Sucre "freak-cake" that's still one of our most popular cakes. Sit down, kids, let me tell you a little story.

Way back in 2015, when we used to have a little coffee shop in a posh part of London (Kensington, for the curious), we used to sell just two things—coffee and macarons. Well, actually three things—coffee, macarons, and marshmallows. All made by hand in our bakery. We then added doughnuts to the mix and other sweet little tasty bites. But every day, we'd have at least 5-10 customers asking for cake. And eventually, I relented—let them eat CAKE! So we made cake, but threw everything but the kitchen sink at it to decorate. Doughnuts, Oreo cookies, chocolate shards, chocolate drip. This was our very first one, and while that shop is no longer, this cake goes on.

If you're ever feeling indecisive, this cake takes that conundrum out of the equation. Not sure what you're in the mood for? Is it doughnuts? Cookies? Chocolate? Cake? Doesn't matter, because this cake ticks all those boxes.

We've mainly made this cake for boys, guys, and men. It might be due to its beautiful speckled blue Swiss meringue buttercream, but we don't think it's just for guys. A something blue for a wedding day cake, or a special birthday, or just to treat yourself—the Doughnut Cookie Monster Cake is at home whenever, wherever.

Buttercream: Sugar, egg white, butter (milk), vanilla extract, cocoa, Oreos[Wheat Flour, Sugar, Vegetable Oil (Palm), Fat Reduced Cocoa Powder 4.6 %,Wheat Starch, Glucose-Fructose Syrup, Salt, Raising Agents (Potassium Hydrogen Carbonate, Sodium Hydrogen Carbonate, Ammonium Hydrogen Carbonate), Emulsifiers (Soya Lecithin, Sunflower Lecithin), Flavouring (Vanillin)],salt, colouring Blue (glycerol E422, propylene glycol E1520, silicon dioxide E551, water, colours E133 & E122).

Chocolate drip: dark chocolate [(Min cocoa 54.5%) Sugar, cocoa butter, cocoa mass, emulsifier; soya lecithin, natural vanilla], butter (milk).

Our cakes are vegetarian and made in bakeries that handle wheat, gluten, eggs, milk and nuts. We do not offer vegan or gluten-free cakes. Standard delivery is by our own drivers within the London and Surrey areas we serve; further-afield delivery may be arranged in advance. Our bakeries are not customer collection points.
