Choosing an engagement cake
You do not need a different collection for every kind of engagement. Start with the number of people, then decide whether you want the cake to feel intimate, romantic or like the centrepiece of the room.
01
Small engagement cakes
For a proposal, dinner or a handful of favourite people, a smaller single-tier cake usually makes more sense than a wedding-scale centrepiece. Heart cakes and compact celebration designs give you the occasion without unnecessary size.
02
Engagement party cakes
For a larger party, look for height, stronger silhouette, buttercream flowers or tiers. The cake needs enough presence to hold a room, but it still does not have to look like a miniature wedding cake.
03
Personalisation
Many cakes can carry a short personalised message. If the design itself needs to be built around the couple, venue, colours or a private reference, use our bespoke service instead.

Delivery in London & Surrey
Every cake is baked to order in our London kitchen and hand-delivered across London and Surrey by our own drivers. For important celebrations, delivery the day before is usually the calmer option.
Delivery informationPrice & scale
What does an engagement cake cost?
Price follows the cake you choose rather than the word “engagement”. These live examples show the difference between an intimate cake, a classic celebration cake and a larger statement design.
From the Chef
Dinner for six or Champagne for sixty?
“Engagement cakes don’t have to look like miniature wedding cakes. I start with the way you’re celebrating. Dinner for six wants a very different cake from Champagne for sixty.”

Before you order
How far in advance should I order an engagement cake?
For standard collection cakes, allow at least 48 hours. Ordering earlier gives you the widest choice of design and size.
What size engagement cake do I need?
Start with how many people you expect to serve. A dinner for a few and a larger engagement party need very different cakes.
Can I personalise an engagement cake?
Yes. Many collection cakes can carry a short personalised message, while bespoke commissions are available when the whole design needs to be created around the couple.
Can you deliver directly to a venue?
Yes, provided the venue is within our London and Surrey delivery area and someone is available to receive the cake.
How should I serve the cake?
Keep it refrigerated, then bring it to room temperature before serving so the sponge, buttercream and ganache are at their best.
