A Japanese Matcha-Sakura birthday cake of Valrhona chocolate sponge, Japanese matcha Swiss meringue buttercream and glossy chocolate drip. The sponge is soft, dark and cocoa-rich, balanced by the earthy, gently bitter fragrance of matcha. Pink sea-salted candied popcorn and macarons bring cherry blossom colour, crisp texture and delicate sweetness. Made to order in our London kitchen and hand-delivered across London and Surrey by our own drivers.

Your cake is baked to order in our London or Surrey bakery, then dispatched and hand-delivered by our own drivers. Standard routes cover the London and Surrey areas we serve; further-afield delivery may be arranged in advance.

Keep the cake boxed and cool. If refrigerated, bring it to room temperature before serving for the best texture and flavour.

This cake pairs dark chocolate with the clean bitterness of matcha, then softens the finish with pink popcorn and macarons. The green and blossom-pink palette gives it a distinctly Japanese spring character without overwhelming the flavour.
Chocolate Sponge: Self raising flour (wheat/gluten), bicarbonate of soda, sugar, eggs, milk, sunflower oil, cocoa powder, coffee, golden syrup.
Buttercream: Sugar, egg white, butter (milk), vanilla extract, salt, matcha green tea.

Our cakes are vegetarian and made in bakeries that handle wheat, gluten, eggs, milk and nuts. We do not offer vegan or gluten-free cakes. Standard delivery is by our own drivers within the London and Surrey areas we serve; further-afield delivery may be arranged in advance. Our bakeries are not customer collection points.
