National Wedding Show Spring 2012

Planning our own wedding was an exciting, fun, and painful process. I imagine most weddings involve the same sentiments in the planning stages. Stuff I would never even have thought were worth 'planning' for, such as cake toppers, bouquets, transport and logistics, required careful detailed analysis. How wrong I was being under the impression that food, booze and the dress were all that mattered!

Having scoured through wedding blogs such as Before the Big Day and Style Me Pretty for inspiration and ideas I wish I had also taken the opportunity to attend some of the various wedding exhibitions. It's so much better to see ideas in the 'flesh' and in real life context when making decisions even as small as wedding favours and hair accessories.

So what better way to introduce our wedding services than to exhibit at the nation's biggest bridal exhibition, The National Wedding Show! With macaroon towers as a fairly new idea in the UK (they are all over the place in France at weddings, christenings, birthdays) we decided to go all out with the theme and the macaroons to set the scene for all brides and grooms-to-be.

Duck egg blue is the BEST COLOUR IN THE WORLD. I've never actually seen a real blue duck egg and I'm not entirely sure if they exist. All I know is I dream in duck egg blue.   So keeping my love for ye olde duck egg at the forefront in the planning, we sourced this fabulous flocked wallpaper from Pop Studio and props from The Lacquer Chest added to the vintage ambience. The gorgeous wallpaper from PiP Studio provided a beautiful background for the wedding tower. I was chuffed! Big thanks to the Mr, Mr's mum, a few of my bezzies who turned into my minions for the weekend and the good people of Ocean Media and SO group.

Whatcha think of our little stand below then?
