We are thrilled that Londonist named Anges de Sucre a top London bakery and cake shop for anyone looking to order birthday cakes online. From bespoke creations to signature celebration cakes, it is rather lovely to have someone else say the nice bit out loud for us.
The accolade
Londonist said it first. We are simply blushing.
Being recognised by Londonist for birthday cakes in London was a proper pinch-me moment. We have always believed a cake should feel generous, joyful and deliciously memorable, whether it is ordered for a birthday, a dinner party, a hotel celebration or a gloriously last-minute surprise.
Mayfair moments
From our kitchen to the grand rooms of London.
We have delivered fancy birthday cakes to equally fancy London hotels, including The Connaught, Hotel Café Royal in Piccadilly, Soho House and Ham Yard Hotel. One of our most loved designs, the Pink Sweetheart Cake, was cut in the Mayfair room at The Connaught. A proper beauty, if we may say so.
Restaurants and real life
Good cakes travel. Occasionally, so do good stories.
Our movie-buff favourite, Netflix & Chill, has made its way to Cecconi’s, the kind of swish London restaurant where one might casually spot Bill Nighy. I did spot him, in fact. I did not run up to him, mostly because I looked tired and had a wailing baby in tow. Regrets? A few.
Beyond London
From city tables to country estates.
I love finding out where our cakes get delivered and where they crop up on Instagram. They have appeared everywhere from swanky city spots to family-friendly favourites such as Ping Pong and Wahaca. Gemma from Milly Inspired chose us for her three-tiered Pink Sweetheart Wedding Cake, which travelled all the way to Goodwood Estate in Chichester.
