A novelty celebration cake composed of Belgian chocolate sponge, red velvet sponge, vanilla sponge, blue vanilla Swiss meringue buttercream and chocolate glaze. Each sponge brings a different note: cocoa depth, soft buttermilk richness and clean vanilla, layered with smooth buttercream for a creamy finish. Decorated with a cake-fudge ice cream cone, mini Ferrero Rocher cones, a handmade popcorn bucket and candied sweet and salty popcorn, it brings together soft sponge, chocolate, cream, caramel crunch and cinema-night playfulness in a polished party cake.

This cake came from taking Netflix and Chill far too literally, and then deciding it deserved a proper Anges de Sucre treatment. I wanted all the fun of a cosy night in, popcorn, chocolate, ice cream cones, sweets and something a bit ridiculous, but built on proper cake underneath. It is made with Belgian chocolate sponge, red velvet sponge, vanilla sponge, blue vanilla Swiss meringue buttercream and a glossy chocolate glaze, then finished with a cake-fudge ice cream cone, mini Ferrero Rocher cones, a handmade popcorn bucket and sweet-salty popcorn. We have made hundreds of them, and it still has that lovely moment of theatre when the box opens and again when the first slice reveals all three sponge layers.

Vanilla Sponge: Wheat flour (gluten), eggsmilk, buttermilk (milk), sugar, baking powder, vanilla extracts

Red Velvet Sponge: Wheat flour (gluten), eggsmilk, buttermilk (milk), sugar, baking powder, vanilla extract, cocoa powder, colouring Red [Vegetable Glycerine E422, Mono Propylene Glycol E1520, Water, Ponceau 4R E124, Allura Red E129].

Chocolate Sponge: Self raising flour (wheat/gluten), bicarbonate of soda, sugar, eggsmilk, sunflower oil, cocoa powder, coffee, golden syrup.

Buttercream: Sugar, egg white, butter (milk), vanilla extract, salt, colouring Blue (glycerol E422, propylene glycol E1520, silicon dioxide E551, water, colours E133 & E122).

Your cake is baked fresh for your chosen date and keeps beautifully for up to five days from delivery. Store it carefully, serve it at room temperature, and the sponge and buttercream will be at their best.
