The Orange and Pistachio Cake is a vibrant meeting of citrus sunshine and nutty depth, enjoyed by cake lovers in London and Surrey alike. Sweet yet zesty, rich yet refreshing, it’s the kind of flavour pairing that feels both comforting and quietly sophisticated.

Made to order · Hand-delivered · London & Surrey

Decorations: Swirls of silky buttercream, brushed with smooth pistachio crème, crowned with French pistachio macarons, and scattered with crushed pistachios for a subtle crunch.

Sponges: Two airy layers of orange and pistachio sponge, balancing fresh citrus brightness with gentle nuttiness.

Frosting: A pistachio Swiss meringue buttercream flecked for texture, finished with a delicate brush of pistachio crème.

Orange and pistachio is an underrated pairing I wish more people discovered. It’s a natural match in Mediterranean baking—often found in Italian and Greek desserts—where pistachio’s richness is lifted by citrus brightness.

This cake has layers of character. The sponge is light but flavourful, the buttercream smooth yet full-bodied, the Sicilian crema al pistacchio decadent, and the pistachio macarons adding a refined flourish. Every bite offers a little moment of contrast: sweet and tangy, creamy and nutty, light yet indulgent.

It’s a cake that works at almost any occasion—from an intimate afternoon tea to a refined dinner party dessert. And yes, it’s equally suited to a quiet night in when you want to turn an ordinary day into something a touch more special.

One forkful might just transport you from a grey British afternoon straight to a sunny terrace in Sicily. And frankly, who couldn’t use that?
