Have wedding cake? Will travel! Especially if the wedding is in a ridiculously cool, quirky and cosy country venue like the Bell Inn in Ticehurst, East Sussex, no matter how last minute the booking.
And my oh my did our Macarons & Pearls wedding cake travelling all the way from London feel right at home there!
While describing the Bell as having "rustic charm" and plenty of character is true in every sense, it's also just drop dead cool.
How can a cosy country pub-slash-inn be so cool you ask?! By having original beams and beautiful exposed brickwork adorned with cool prints and NEON lights and an awesome gangway for the grandest of entrances. And from what I saw they have really lovely staff and from what I hear they have killer food, which only makes me want to find any excuse to go back again!

Our Macarons & Pearls wedding cake looked right at home with its stripped back semi-naked Swiss Meringue buttercream frosting. The lovely bride Katie (whom I actually had the pleasure of meeting in person in the morning as we delivered the cake bright and early) chose three different flavours of sponges over the three tiers ranging from red velvet, chocolate and vanilla with an assortment of strawberry, pistachio, vanilla and salted caramel macarons and sparkly lustrous gold chocolate pearls. Katie's so sweet, she even thought to have a birthday cake for her niece Poppy on the day! Poppy loves pink and sparkle, so obviously only the Pink Wink birthday cake would do.

I honestly cannot wait to find another excuse to go back to the Bell Inn. Anyone getting married there anytime?! Hit us up for your wedding cake!

Lots of love,
Reshmi xoxo
