Emoji Cake

We all have our favourite emojis, and mine are heart-eyes, cookie, doughnut and, rather tragically, the poop emoji, though the team very firmly reined me in on that last one. Party poopers. So this cake became a cleaner sort of chaos: chocolate, red velvet and vanilla sponge layered with silky Swiss meringue buttercream, striped in blue, yellow and ivory, then finished with baked doughnuts, chocolate chip cookies, hand-drawn emoji macarons and a glossy chocolate glaze for a cake that is bright, silly, joyful and still properly delicious.

Vanilla Sponge: Wheat flour ( gluten ), eggs , milk , buttermilk ( milk ), sugar, baking powder, vanilla extract

Red Velvet Sponge: Wheat flour ( gluten ), eggs , milk , buttermilk ( milk ), sugar, baking powder, vanilla extract, cocoa powder, colouring Red [Vegetable Glycerine E422, Mono Propylene Glycol E1520, Water, Ponceau 4R E124, Allura Red E129].

Chocolate Sponge: Self raising flour ( wheat/gluten ), bicarbonate of soda, sugar, eggs , milk , sunflower oil, cocoa powder, coffee, golden syrup.

Buttercream: Sugar, egg white, butter ( milk ), vanilla extract, salt, colouring Yellow (glycerol E422, propylene glycol E551, colours E104 & E110), colouring Blue (glycerol E422, propylene glycol E1520, silicon dioxide E551, water, colours E133 & E122).

Decorations

Chocolate drip: dark chocolate [(Min cocoa 54.5%) Sugar, cocoa butter, cocoa mass, emulsifier soya lecithin , natural vanilla], butter ( milk ).

Baked Doughnuts: Flour ( wheat , gluten ), corn flour, egg , buttermilk ( milk ), butter ( milk ), sugar, baking powder, salt, vanilla extract, dark chocolate ( milk , soya lecithin), Sprinkles [Sugar, Wheat Starch, Glucose Syrup, Colours (Curcumin, Chlorophyll), Concentrated Beetroot Juice, Glazing Agent (White and Yellow Beeswax)]

Macarons: almonds ( nuts ), egg white, icing sugar, sugar, white chocolate ( milk , soya lecithin), lemon juice, butter ( milk ), cream ( milk ), colouring Yellow (glycerol E422, propylene glycol E551, colours E104 & E110), colouring Red (Water glycerine E422 ethanol allura red E129 potassium sorbate E202 citric acid E330), colouring Black (Water glycerine E422 ethanol blue no 1 E133 carmoisine E122 yellow no 5 E102 potassium sorbate E202 citric acid E330).

Chocolate chip cookies: Wheat Flour (with Calcium Carbonate, Iron, Niacin and Thiamin), Chocolate Chips (25%) (Sugar, Cocoa Mass, Vegetable Fats (Palm, Shea, Sal), Emulsifiers ( Soya Lecithin, E442, E476), Cocoa Butter, Flavourings), Sugar, Palm Oil, Whey or Whey Derivatives ( Milk ), Partially Inverted Sugar Syrup, Raising Agents (Sodium Bicarbonate, Ammonium Bicarbonate), Salt, Flavourings.

Our cakes are vegetarian and made in bakeries that handle wheat, gluten, eggs, milk and nuts. We do not offer vegan or gluten-free cakes. Standard delivery is by our own drivers within the London and Surrey areas we serve; further-afield delivery may be arranged in advance. Our bakeries are not customer collection points.
