I LOVE chocolate hazelnut everything. This cake is an iteration of our very popular Posh Pistachio cake which remains one of our best-sellers in London and Surrey.

Just like its predecessor. this cake is a little bit fancy, a little bit glamorous, very posh, and wholly delicious. Elegant buttercream piping, muted earthy brown tones, and picture perfect macarons make it visually irresistible - and it tastes every bit as good as it looks.

Perfect for birthdays, anniversaries, or any elegant gathering where you want to impress with a luxury chocolate pistachio cake that tastes as refined as it looks.

Ingredients

Chocolate Sponge:  Flour (wheat, gluten), sugar, egg, milk, cocoa, sunflower oil, sodium bicarbonate (raising agent: E500), instant coffee granules, vanilla extract.

Buttercream: Sugar, egg white, butter (milk), vanilla extract, salt, cocoa.

Decorations:

Macarons: Icing Sugar, Almonds (Nuts), Sugar, Butter (Milk)Egg WhiteTonka Bean Extract (natural flavouring), Cream (Milk)White chocolate (Belgian white chocolate Couverture, sugar, cocoa butter, whole milk powder, cocoa mass, emulsifier; soya lecithin, natural vanilla), colour e133, e122.

Crushed hazelnuts (nuts).

Storage: Wrap the box in cling film for freshness. Refrigerate if not serving the same day. See our cake storage and shelf life guide.

Serving: Bring the cake to room temperature before serving. Allow about three hours out of the fridge. This ensures a softer texture and fuller flavour.
