Pretty in pink and light as a feather, this White Chocolate Ganache cake is inspired by a pink pat of fanciful flamingos (oh yes, a group of flamingos is in fact called a 'pat' - you learnt it here!).

The Feathers: The delicate hand-crafted feathers are what makes this cake fly above the rest! Made of luxurious white chocolate from Belgium.

The Sponges: Light and fluffy Vanilla Sponge layers.

The Frosting: Frosted with our stunning watercolour effect in various shades of pink. The frosting uses a Swiss meringue buttercream which is light yet decadent.

Decorations:

  • Pink and ivory macarons

The pretty chocolate feathers came about accidentally while I was tempering some Callebaut white chocolate—I was trying to make thin sheets of chocolate, but my sleeve kept smudging it. I was going to scrap it all in a fit of rage but saw that it had a feathery look. So I came up with my signature technique and started making the feathers intentionally using a piping bag and a modelling tool for the feather effect, and rolled up my sleeves higher.

You can literally feel the fluttery joy through this cake. The pretty pink watercolor effect, the delicate handmade chocolate feathers, and raspberry and vanilla macarons make you feel the happiness we felt while making the cake.

We've made more than a thousand of our Pink Flamingo cakes, and I still get wowed by how pretty this cake is every time I make another. Serving & Storage

Your cake is baked fresh for your chosen date and keeps beautifully for up to five days from delivery. Store it carefully, serve it at room temperature, and the sponge and buttercream will be at their best.
