Growing up in Kuwait in the 80s, imported treats felt wildly glamorous, and Terry’s Chocolate Orange was the one I waited for: my uncle would bring one back from London and it felt, to me, far grander than anything wrapped in gold foil. This cake is built around that memory of citrus, chocolate and childhood excitement, with moist chocolate orange sponge, striped Swiss meringue buttercream, Valrhona chocolate, Callebaut chocolate, orange zest, Terry’s Chocolate Orange, Jaffa Cakes and a glossy chocolate drip. It is nostalgic, bright and properly chocolatey, with the orange cutting through the richness just enough to make every slice feel lively rather than heavy.

Your cake is baked fresh for your chosen date and keeps beautifully for up to five days from delivery. Store it carefully, serve it at room temperature, and the sponge and buttercream will be at their best.
