Wedded! A Magical, Minimalist Mod City Do

Wedded with a Macaron Tower and Wedding Cake

Magical + Minimalist. Two styles that often aren't in the same equation, but come to such a genius conclusion when plumped with heaps of Baby's Breath, aka Gypsophila.

The bride Emma's brief was quite simply a 'macaroon tower, and nothing else would do!' with an all-neutral colour scheme, plus a no-fuss cutting cake on the side for the quintessential 'cake-cutting' photo. Simples on paper, super special in practice!

Frederick's, located on the lively cobbledy Camden Passage Islington, was their venue. It's Parisian bistro-like frontage does a real good job in taking you by surprise when you walk through the doors, opening up to a large, light and lofty conservatory, with colourful modern artwork on the exposed brick walls and a secret garden!

We walked in on Angel Flowers working on transforming this modern space into a magical wedding-land with ginormous gyp balls that looked like fluffy white clouds for cherubs to perch and laze about on.

The macarons floating on a halo of baby's breath

Totally and utterly all over Baby's Breath! It was the perfect choice to add to the venue's floaty and luminous air where the macarons were right at home.   Congratulations Emma and Alex! Wishing you many years of love and light,

Reshmi xoxo

And if you’re anything like me, the thought of a celebration cake smashing, smooshing or squishing is pretty horrifying. But that’s exactly what some people are doing ON PURPOSE when their kidlet turns one.
