This was our original viral cake, and I can still see why: Nutella, Ferrero Rocher, Oreos, chocolate, amazing hazelnuts and cream are not shy ingredients. Ferrero Rocher always reminds me of those gold-foil boxes that turn up at Asian family gatherings and are received with genuine excitement, so I wanted this cake to have that same sense of being properly spoilt. It is built with Belgian chocolate sponge, Oreo cookies and cream sponge, vanilla sponge, Nutella Swiss meringue buttercream, chocolate ganache, crushed hazelnuts, Oreos, white chocolate pearls and Ferrero Rocher ice cream cones, giving every slice that lovely mix of soft sponge, roasted hazelnut, chocolate cream and crunch.
