This three-tier pink cake was ordered for a 100th birthday celebration in Chiswick after another supplier became unavailable. It remains a lovely example of adapting an established Anges de Sucre design for a major milestone.
A Century Worth Celebrating
The birthday called for a cake with height and a clear sense of occasion. The established Pink Sweetheart style was produced as a larger tiered cake and finished for the recipient's 100th birthday.
Personalised And Customised, Not Bespoke
This was not a blank-page bespoke commission. It used an existing signature design, adapted in scale and personalised for the celebration. A name, age or short message is personalisation; a substantial change to an existing design is custom work; a bespoke cake begins from an original brief developed from scratch.
Planning A Milestone Birthday Cake
Begin with the date, delivery postcode, number of portions and the recipient's preferred colours or flavours. Larger tiered cakes require suitable notice, delivery planning and a responsible person at the venue to accept them.
