The Homer Simpson Cake

This is the cake equivalent of Homer’s perfect afternoon: doughnuts, chocolate, popcorn and absolutely no restraint. I wanted it to feel instantly recognisable without becoming novelty for novelty’s sake, so the finish stays polished while the decorations do all the shouting.

Sponge: Flour (wheat, gluten), sugar, egg, milk, buttermilk (milk), yoghurt (milk), sunflower oil, baking powder, vanilla extract, salt.

Buttercream: Sugar, Egg White, Butter (milk), Vanilla Extract, colouring Yellow (glycerol E422, propylene glycol E551, colours E104 & E110).

Decorations-

Chocolate drip: dark chocolate [(Min cocoa 54.5%) Sugar, cocoa butter, cocoa mass, emulsifier; soya lecithin, natural vanilla], butter (milk).

Baked Doughnuts: Flour (wheat, gluten), corn flour, egg, buttermilk (milk), butter (milk), sugar, baking powder, salt, vanilla extract, white chocolate (milk, soya lecithin), double cream (milk), colouring Pink (Glycerol, Propylene, Glycol, E551, Food Colour: E104, E155, E129), Sprinkles [Sugar, Wheat Starch, Glucose Syrup, Colours (Curcumin, Chlorophyll), Concentrated Beetroot Juice, Glazing Agent (White and Yellow Beeswax)]

Each cake is hand-made individually and carefully and while will look similar to the images, may not be identical. 

Our cakes are vegetarian and made in bakeries that handle wheat, gluten, eggs, milk and nuts. We do not offer vegan or gluten-free cakes. Standard delivery is by our own drivers within the London and Surrey areas we serve; further-afield delivery may be arranged in advance. Our bakeries are not customer collection points.
