Your cake is baked to order in our London or Surrey bakery, then dispatched and hand-delivered by our own drivers. Standard routes cover the London and Surrey areas we serve; further-afield delivery may be arranged in advance.

This cake features a specially designed burn-away top layer. When gently ignited, the top sheet disappears to reveal the colour beneath — pink or blue — unveiling your baby’s gender in a single, dramatic moment.
No smashing. No mess. Just suspense, fire, and a perfectly timed reveal.
At the heart of the design are two layers of freshly baked, heart-shaped vanilla sponge — coloured blue or pink depending on your reveal — filled and finished with smooth vanilla Swiss meringue buttercream. The burn-away layer sits cleanly on top, concealing the secret until the moment you choose to reveal it.
It’s dramatic without being gimmicky, and joyful without being over the top — exactly what a great gender reveal should be.
Want to personalise the reveal even further? You can customise the burn-away layer with names, due dates, or bespoke artwork.

This cake was created to deliver that moment cleanly and reliably. We tested burn-away materials, timings, and finishes extensively to ensure the reveal works every time without damaging the cake underneath or spoiling the presentation.

Sponge:
Vanilla – Flour (wheat, gluten), sugar, egg, milk, buttermilk (milk), yoghurt (milk), sunflower oil, baking powder, vanilla extract, salt, colouring Pink (glycerol, propylene glycol, silicon dioxide (E551), food colours E104, E155, E129), colouring Blue (glycerol (E422), propylene glycol (E1520), silicon dioxide (E551), water, colours E133 & E122).
Buttercream: Sugar, egg white, butter (milk), vanilla extract, salt.
Icing sheet: Modified starches (E1422, E1412), maltodextrin, glycerol, sugar, water, thickeners (E460i, E414, E415), dextrose, food colour (E171), emulsifiers (E435, E471, E491), preservative (E202), acidity regulator (citric acid, E330), artificial flavour, edible ink (black, yellow, magenta, cyan).
Wafer sheet: Potato starch (86%), water (11%), olive oil (3%), flavouring (vanilla), sweetener (sucralose, E955).

All products are produced on premises handling eggs, gluten, nuts, peanuts, milk, sesame and soya and may contain traces. Cakes may contain cocktail sticks and dowelling for support.
Each cake is handmade individually. While your cake will closely match the images, small variations may occur.
Our cakes are vegetarian and made in bakeries that handle wheat, gluten, eggs, milk and nuts. We do not offer vegan or gluten-free cakes. Standard delivery is by our own drivers within the London and Surrey areas we serve; further-afield delivery may be arranged in advance. Our bakeries are not customer collection points.
