A Chocolate Guinness birthday cake of dark cocoa sponge, Guinness, vanilla Swiss meringue buttercream and glossy chocolate ganache. The sponge is moist and cocoa-rich, with roasted malt, coffee and caramel notes rather than a strong beer flavour. Miniature chocolate cupcakes, buttercream swirls and crisp chocolate pearls complete the finish.

Your cake is baked to order in our London or Surrey bakery, then dispatched and hand-delivered by our own drivers. Standard routes cover the London and Surrey areas we serve; further-afield delivery may be arranged in advance.
Cake care
Keep the cake boxed and cool. If refrigerated, bring it to room temperature before serving for the best texture and flavour.

Flavour: Dark chocolate with roasted malt and gentle bitterness.

Personalisation: Add a cake message of up to 25 characters when ordering.
Alcohol note: The sponge is made with Guinness. Choose another cake if alcohol must be avoided entirely.
Guinness gives chocolate a slow, roasted depth without making the sponge taste strongly of beer. Its bitterness keeps the buttercream and ganache balanced, leaving the crumb dark, velvety and satisfying.
Guinness Chocolate Sponge: Self raising flour (wheat/gluten), bicarbonate of soda, baking powder, sugar, brown sugar, eggs, malted milk drink powder, sunflower oil, Guinness (alcohol), cocoa powder, yoghurt (milk), vanilla extract, salt.
Buttercream: Sugar, egg white, butter (milk), vanilla extract, salt.
Decorations
Chocolate Drip: Dark chocolate (milk/soya), butter (milk).
Chocolate Crispy Pearls: Chocolate 84.0% (cocoa mass, sugar, cocoa butter, anhydrous milkfat, emulsifier: soya lecithin, natural vanilla flavouring), crisped cereals (wheat malt flour, starch (wheat), raising agent E500ii, salt, cocoa butter, natural vanilla flavouring), glucose syrup, sugar, glazing agent E414, modified starch, vegetable fat (coconut).

All products are produced on premises handling eggs, gluten, nuts, peanuts, milk, sesame and soya and may contain traces. Cakes may contain cocktail sticks and dowelling for support.
Each cake is handmade individually and carefully. It will look similar to the images but may not be identical.
Our cakes are vegetarian and made in bakeries that handle wheat, gluten, eggs, milk and nuts. We do not offer vegan or gluten-free cakes. Standard delivery is by our own drivers within the London and Surrey areas we serve; further-afield delivery may be arranged in advance. Our bakeries are not customer collection points.
