Oh hey you! Lemme introduce you to this gorgeous new piece of eye candy, or rather cake candy...let's just say it as it is...this stunning Mermaid Croquembouche Cake.
Unicorns are *kinda* sooo 2016, and mermaids have been sneakily cruising into the scene in 2017 and probably sashaying straight into 2018. In all honesty, I'm not quite sure why mermaids are meant to have any real sex appeal as being half fish...well, they must smell pretty fishy. But there's absolutely nothing fishy about our latest babe to join the top ranks of our cake range.
With 100% cake layers in vanilla sponge making up the base and the tower, with smooth Swiss Meringue Buttercream in aqua and coral hues, pink chocolate glaze, and hand-made fondant tails, hazelnut praline seashell chocolates, macaron oysters, Maltesers, Rolos, white chocolate crispearls, profiteroles, eclairs, candied popcorn and piped buttercream swirl detailing, all silvery and shimmering.
As I'm being all honest about me finding actual mermaid fascination bizarre, I do have a gripe with Ariel. She's lovely and all, obviously sings and swims simultaneously very well, but she did turn into a total sell-out-suzy by trading in her voice for a pair of pins to impress some rich guy she barely knew. #feminismfail aside, she does have nice hair I suppose, and seems like a nice half-girl-half-fish. And I'm glad she's so popular because she clearly inspired me to create this gorgeous croquebouche with my thrilled team!
So if you are a mermaid fantasist, this is definitely the ultimate cake for you, you total weirdo.
