Anges de Sucre was founded by Londoner Reshmi Bennett, who trained in classical French cuisine in Paris at Ecole Gregoire Ferrandi. Born and raised in Kuwait with Indian parents, Reshmi has also lived in Paris and London, and was inspired by her global background to create a unique taste experience in the marshmallows and macaroons, which borrow flavours from around the world.
Following on the success of its high-end patisserie and successful e-commerce platform, Anges de Sucre has decided to continue expanding its successful artisan confectionery business by increasing its wholesale capacity.
For retailers and food services, this new wholesale structure offers an easy platform to source locally made, premium products with an option to buy Anges de Sucre’s signature range, or work with their chefs to create bespoke products that align with individual businesses.
Potential partners can choose from premium designed Anges de Sucre packaging, or work with the team to create a bespoke, customised packaging to resonate with their own brand.
Exclusive to the UK, Anges de Sucre is proud to create British macaroons in London, unlike so many of the renowned French houses that transport their macaroons from France or Switzerland to their London outposts. Investing in customised, state of the art kitchen equipment, means Anges de Sucre can produce the best products every time.
Gourmet marshmallows are freshly whipped using natural and carefully sourced ingredients and real fruit to create extraordinarily delicate, plump squares of cloud-like marshmallows, some studded with cornflower petals, fruit swirls, or even drizzled in chocolate.
Founder Reshmi Bennett says: “Following the launch of our bijou marshmallow and macaroons boutique in Kensington, and our successful e-commerce platform, we are excited to introduce a bespoke wholesale offering to supply our luxury patisserie to select retail, hospitality and food service partners.
“Our ambition is that the wholesale market will account for 40 per cent of our total business within the next twelve months, and we have invested in state-of-the-art, customised kitchen equipment to ensure scalability and make this a reality”.
Signature marshmallows include Vanilla Sky using an infusion of Madagascan and Papua New Guinea pods for an authentic vanilla flavour, Road to Ispahan a floral marshmallow inspired by delicate rose of the Middle East and topped with crushed pistachio, Goan Colada which blends fresh pineapple and coconut with mango and Pop Tate’s a beautiful pink marshmallow made with plump raspberries and topped with a delicate swirl of raspberry coulis.
Boldly creative and inspired by global ingredients from Reshmi’s travels, each macaroon deserves to be savoured slowly. A riot of jewel and pastel colours, the macaroons are displayed on a marble counter in a huge variety of inventive flavours.
Signature recipes include the fragrant Earl Grey tea-infused macaroon for a quintessentially British flavour, or the popular Cheeky Cazzamella which combines caramel from slowly browned sugar with a pinch of sea salt for texture, all enrobed in a smooth white ganache. Lavender Fields sets floral notes of organic lavender buds against a rich dark chocolate and Amalfi Citron will transport your taste-buds to southern Italy with zesty lemon that sings out through a silky smooth ganache.
