Buying a Celebration Cake online and got a question? Here are some answers to questions we frequently get asked about our birthday cakes, christening cakes and other celebration cakes.

Technically, you are able to select any date in the future, two working days from time of order, in the Cart page to place your order. However, if you require delivery on Fridays or Saturdays please note these are our BUSIEST and most in-demand dates and get booked up far in advance so we always advice booking as soon as possible.
You can choose to have your cake delivered to your home, work/office or any venue such as a restaurant or hotel provided they are willing to accept the delivery on your behalf within our given time slot of 09:00-17:00.
Our cake products are specially hand delivered by a driver whose sole job is to make sure your cake gets delivered to you safely anytime between 09:00-17:00. The delivery cost is dependent on a combination of factors such as distance, mileage and time and hence cannot be offered free or for a flat fee.
Unfortunately we do not offer a guaranteed timed delivery service within our standard delivery costs quote. If you would like the cake by a certain time we recommend having it delivered the day before. If you are unable to accept delivery the day before we offer a very limited number of Priority Delivery slots at a higher fee starting from £30 so please do get in touch to find out more.
If you are unavailable at any point between 09:00-17:00 we would recommend providing detailed alternative instructions on a safe place or nominate a neighbour/porter/concierge who is willing to accept your perishable item on your behalf. Please note we do not accept liability beyond delivery and alternative delivery instructions are solely at the customer’s discretion.
The driver will not call ahead. He is driving a very precious cargo of cake extremely carefully through traffic and will not risk being on the phone when driving or handling fragile items. If however at delivery there are any issues with finding the address, there is no answer at the address or if required to call when at the address then he will call the number provided with the order.
Our delivery fee covers ONE delivery attempt ONLY. Any missed delivery will incur an extra cost. If you require it to be re-delivered the same day having missed the first delivery attempt we may be able to re-deliver at a cost starting from £30. If you would like re-delivery the next day then it will be the same cost as paid the first time again. We are unable to accept liability or cancellation based on missed deliveries due to unavailability.
We require 48 hours notice in WRITING for any changes to address. Please email hello [at] angesdesucre [dot] com confirming address details. Please note they may be subject to extra costs based on post-code.
If given less than 48 hours notice in writing we may not be able to process it and will require a £10 administration fee to process.
If the delivery address is incorrect and we have not been given notice by 12:00 GMT the day BEFORE delivery we will not be able to process the change and a greater re-delivery cost from £30 may apply. We are unable to accept liability or cancellation based on missed deliveries due to unavailability.
We do not offer delivery on Sunday or Monday. Our cakes keep well for up to 5 days. If you require a cake for an occasion on Sunday or Monday we recommend delivery on the Saturday. Please note that our cakes are highly perishable items by nature and will require careful storage.
Collection is available by directly ordering through Selfridges Oxford Street ONLY. Please call the Selfridges Food Concierge at 02073183458 to place your order over the phone. Please note they require at least three working days’ notice to process orders. We do not offer collection from our Production Premises in West London or any other outlet.
All our cakes are highly fragile and perishable items as we do not use preservatives. While they should keep well up to 5 days they will need to be stored in a cool, dark and dry space, out of direct sunlight and OUT of the fridge unless in adverse and extreme atmospheric conditions. We recommend storing it in as air tight of a space as possible, or wrapping the box in cling film.
We can accept a limited amount of bespoke and customisation requests. Please email us with your ideas and we will get back to you with our Chefs’ recommendations and quote. Please note ANY bespoke or customisation request is charged extra from £10 per customisation.
We do not offer novelty cakes nor will we copy designs of other cake makers. We can however offer bespoke hand-modelled cake toppers in theme at extra cost starting from £50 with a minimum 3 week notice. Our signature style is very distinctive and we hope it is why you are choosing us in the first place!
Sorry, we don't do samples or freebies under any circumstance. If you would however like to Try before you Buy you can always order one of our smaller sized cakes or visit Selfridges Oxford Street to see if they have any mini-cakes in stock for purchase.
