Press Coverage

Our rainbow cake is so much more than just dyed vanilla sponges. Why? Because we've used a not-so-secret-secret-ingredient...BUTTERMILK! Yes, our vanilla sponges have been elevated to OUT-OF-THIS-WORLD status with the addition of buttermilk that lifts it from your basic standard vanilla cake, keeping it moist for days and giving it a delicious slight tangy flavour that will make everyone run for seconds!

The Sponges

Five layers of vanilla sponge cake in pretty and appetising rainbow colours in pink, yellow, green, blue and purple.

The Frosting

Silky smooth vanilla Swiss meringue buttercream, and decorated with rainbow whirly pops, rainbow sprinkles and rainbow buttercream swirls and whirls. You literally cannot have a rainbow-er cake than this!

This cake is perfect for ANY occasion where you want a guaranteed collective WOW from everyone - be it in the office, or a party, or to surprise someone special right from the moment they open the box and right down to when they cut the cake. Pick the perfect size, personalise it with a 20-character message written in chocolate and be ready to have your mind blown by rainbows!

We are absolutely delighted to extend our complimentary hand-delivery service to the areas of London, Berkshire, and Surrey, all at no cost to you! Simply pop your chosen treat into your basket and provide your delivery details to unveil our delivery costs (or lack thereof, in some cases).

We deliver our scrumptious cakes from Tuesday to Saturday. Each cake is baked to order, ensuring ultimate freshness and a solid commitment to our zero-waste philosophy. NB. Your cake will be perfectly fresh for 7 days and still okay on the 7th.

Though we'd love to teleport our cake creations instantly to your doorstep, we're still working on the tech. For now, we must politely decline same-day or next-day delivery requests, as our bakery prioritises freshness and sustainability above all else.

Our cheery driver Alex shall deliver your cake during regular working hours, providing you with an ETA on the morning of delivery. Should you find yourself otherwise engaged, worry not! Simply arrange for an alternative solution, such as entrusting your cake to a neighbour or a safe place. Together, we'll make it work! We’re a small and exclusive bakery with service to match.

All our cakes are produced on premises handling wheat (gluten), eggs, milk, dairy, soya, nuts and peanuts. We are unable to offer in good-faith free-from or vegan options as we feel we would need seperate premises.

Shelf-life - At Anges de Sucre, we believe that fresh is best, which is why our cakes have a short shelf life of just 3 days. However, many people tell us they are good for up to 5 days. It's important to note that some components of the cake may not necessarily stay fresh for as long - for example, the doughnuts will only stay fresh-tasting for a few days.

Storage - If you're not planning to indulge in your cake on the same day, we recommend storing it in the fridge overnight to ensure it stays fresh.

Serving - When the time comes to serve your cake, take it out of the fridge and let it come to room temperature. This typically takes around 3 hours, depending on the temperature of your room. If serve it straight out of the fridge, the cake will be cold and potentially quite hard, and the flavours maybe subdued.
