Natalie and Alistair are my kinda couple - they saw the MacDreamy cake, wanted it tall and tiered for their London wedding at super cool venue, The Gun, and all that they wanted changed was to have it fully clothed...MORE icing on the cake is ALWAYS going to be a good thing! As our Anges mantra is More is More we were only too happy to go fully loaded.
The Gun in the Docklands is a highly acclaimed gastro pub that is also a stunning wedding venue. I was so bowled over by the views across the river and the cosy warm wood interiors.
With all the deep woody details, and barrels the rustic-chic MacDreamy cake was literally born to be cut there!
Chocolate cake layers, smothered in lots of sea-salted caramel Swiss meringue buttercream, caramel popcorn and macarons with pops of cheeky Rolos. Salted caramel wedding cakes are just the best!
Congrats Natalie and Alistair - wish you a beautiful happy cake-filled married life together :)
