An award-winning bakery , we've been making London's best celebration cakes since 2012. In a nutshell - we're a small family business, with Reshmi and Patrick, a husband-wife co-founding duo, and a tight knit team. We bake beautiful cakes and deliver them straight to your door all over London and Surrey.
Anges de Sucre was founded by Reshmi Bennett in 2012 when she returned from her training in classical French cuisine in Paris at École Grégoire Ferrandi and gaining Michelin starred experience.
She started making macarons from her little kitchen in Notting Hill, and sold them going door to door around West London (amazing what you could sell back then to literal strangers on their doorstep!) and trading in markets.
She soon moved into production premises as demand for her patisserie grew.
But British people LOVE cake. And they hate anything too sweet. So Reshmi created the perfect sponge recipe - light and airy, and paired it with perfectly balanced silky smooth buttercream with 50% LESS sugar, and decorated them with the macarons. The rest is history.
Anges de Sucre is French for ‘Sugar Angels', pronounced ‘Onj-duh-Sue-kh’ (optional: to fake a fabulous faux-French accent add a light coughing sound at the end). Poncy maybe, but we think it sounds better in French. 'Sugar Angels' sounds a bit like...a dodgy late-night venue.
With our perfectly balanced and beautiful cakes making waves across the capital, Anges de Sucre clocked up some impressive accolades and praise in the media from winning TimeOut awards to being named as Best Bakery in London and Europe by Evening Standard.
We've supplied big brands such as Selfridges, BBC, Meta, Garnier, Warner to name a few, as well as celebrities.
Anges de Sucre has had quite a journey. We've survived the closing of a shop, the pandemic, the burning of a bakery, and have now relocated to a cosy and comfortable bakery in the countryside in Farnham, baking and delivering cakes across London and Surrey.
One thing that's been consistent - GREAT CAKE.
