This cake was inspired by the whimsical, topsy-turvy world of Lewis Carroll's beloved Alice in Wonderland Cake. I first designed this cake for a display at Selfridges, celebrating the book's 150th anniversary. Wanting to capture that magical, unpredictable feeling in cake form—something that feels both fantastical and delicious—I made all the edible decorations to bring the theme to life. It has now been enjoyed by countless customers, including some famous celebrities, and one customer in particular purchases it each year for her mum (makes me so happy!).
